New or recent graduate Equine Vet 

  • Salary up to £33,500 dependent on experience

Experienced Equine Vet with a minimum of 3 years experience

Due to the growth of the business, we are looking for two fun, caring and enthusiastic team players to join our team. One will be experienced with over 3 years of experience and our second will be a new or recent graduate keen to develop skills, experience and resilience both fully supported by our team. 

We are a proudly independent, well-equipped equine practice with equine theatre and in-patient facilities. Equine nurses and technicians are on call 24 hours to support you in the clinic and on the road. You will be backed up by a great team of office staff. We work closely alongside the farm team so there are plenty of opportunities for social interaction. 

The role is ambulatory but you will have full access to the clinic for more in-depth work ups and will work alongside certificate holders in Equine Surgery, Equine Practice, Medicine and Imaging. We also have access to a visiting surgeon and great experience in advanced dentistry and stud medicine. 

You will be living in an area of outstanding natural beauty with easy access to north Devon and Cornwall beaches and Exmoor National Park. The lifestyle is fantastic and the community is thriving. 

We have a very varied range of equine work and actively encourage case continuity to ensure an individual’s job satisfaction and clinical progression. Our growing client list provides plenty of new clinical opportunities. 

Our vets work a 4-day week but part and full-time working days will be considered. The on-call is an excellent 1:7 with a 3-day weekend after a weekend shift. 

Equipment available includes 3 DR systems and 5 ultrasound machines. Motorised dentistry units for each vet, oral flushing units, oroscopy and in-house endodontic/ restorative dentistry. We have In-house laboratories, a technician-managed frozen semen store, arthroscopy, focused shockwave, surgical and therapeutic laser, digital gastroscopy and endoscopy.
